Learning medical coding takes more than reading a textbook or watching videos. It takes practice.
The MMC Study Group was created for medical coding students who want additional opportunities to strengthen their coding skills through monthly coding challenges, live workshops, and medical terminology flashcards.
The MMC Study Group is led by Lindsay Della Vella, CPC, COC, AAPC Approved Instructor, and is designed to supplement your existing medical coding education through consistent coding practice and monthly live workshops.
The MMC Study Group is designed to supplement your current education. It is not a medical coding course.
Each month you'll receive a new set of coding practice questions designed to reinforce key concepts in outpatient and physician-based medical coding, including ICD-10-CM, CPT®, HCPCS Level II, and specialty coding topics.
Join a live Zoom workshop each month where we'll review the coding challenges together, discuss coding concepts, and answer questions. If you can't attend live, the recording will be available for members.
We will meet the last Wednesday of the month through Zoom from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm EST
Build and reinforce your medical vocabulary with a growing library of digital medical terminology flashcards. Strong terminology skills are the foundation of accurate medical coding.
Members can email me with their coding questions between our monthly workshop.

The MMC Study Group is ideal for:
Students currently enrolled in a medical coding course.
Self-study students looking for additional coding practice.
Anyone who wants to continue practicing after completing a coding course.
The MMC Study Group is not a substitute for a comprehensive medical coding course.
Instruction in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and a complete medical coding curriculum are not included. Members should already be enrolled in a medical coding course or actively studying medical coding independently.
Your membership includes new monthly coding challenges, monthly live workshops with recordings, and medical terminology flashcards for $29 per month.
There is no long-term commitment. You may cancel your membership at any time.
New materials are added monthly.
