Why I Wrote Medical Terminology for Medical Coders (and Why It’s Helping So Many Students)

When I first sat down to write Medical Terminology for Medical Coders, I honestly wasn’t sure anyone would buy it. I thought maybe it would just sit there, collecting dust while people stuck with bigger, more traditional textbooks.

But what happened surprised me. It quickly became one of my bestsellers.

I think the reason is simple: future coders don’t want a huge, overwhelming book. They want something clear, direct, and actually useful for the work they’re training to do. That’s exactly what I needed when I was learning, so that’s what I set out to create.

In the guide, I cover the essential terms you’ll run into every day in coding. It’s written with coders in mind, not medical students, not doctors, but people who are getting ready to step into the world of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding. It’s straightforward, practical, and made to be a true reference you’ll go back to again and again.

Here’s a quick video I made talking more about it:

If you’re a future coder who’s feeling like medical terminology is a giant wall standing between you and the rest of coding, this guide is for you. You can grab your copy HERE and start building the foundation that will make the rest of coding so much easier. It is also available in PDF download format HERE.
