Recently, much to my kids embarrassment, I’ve been posting videos on TikTok. But I’m not talking about dancing videos or anything like that. I’ve been posting medical coding videos. Just short videos of me explaining how to find or code or giving advice about the CPC exam. I started a few months ago, and to my surprise, it’s actually been kind of fun!
But more important than that is, I’ve learned that there are many people who are taking medical coding classes right now, who are struggling with it.
A few people reached out to me and asked if I can put together tutoring or some kind of study group. This has been something that I’ve thought about doing, but the time just didn’t seem right. But now that people are asking–I thought why not!
So this is what it is. I’ll be offering a medical coding study group. It will be through Zoom and during that time I can go over either ICD-10-CM coding, CPT coding or CPC exam tips.
The first meeting will be on Saturday February 18th from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm EST. This meeting will be all the the ICD-10-CM Guidelines and how to navigate the book. So, yes, we are starting at a basic level. But, in order to pass the exam and to be a good coder in the workforce, you have to have a solid understanding of the guidelines. So I figure this is the perfect place to start!
It is $10 to join and you will have access to the meeting for 30 days. Also, if you miss the meeting or just can’t make it at the scheduled time, a replay will be available.
