1. Dermatitis

Break it down:

  • Derm = skin

  • -itis = inflammation

What it means: Inflammation of the skin.
You’ve seen it as: Rashes, eczema, even diaper rash.


2. Tachycardia

Break it down:

  • Tachy- = fast

  • -cardia = heart

What it means: A fast heart rate.


3. Arthritis

Break it down:

  • Arthr- = joint

  • -itis = inflammation

What it means: Inflammation of the joints.
